Every year the 4th of July not only represents Independence Day but also the St. Paul Rodeo for my family and home town. I grew up with the days surrounding that rodeo being the highlight of the year for us. The smells, sounds, events, carnival, animals, and don’t forget the hand-dipped corn dogs (my favorite guilty pleasure!). The members of the St. Paul Rodeo association pull together an insane show that rivals any other out there. For quite a few years I have enjoyed photographing this rodeo and several others around Oregon and Washington. This year I have again been granted behind the scenes access to one of the greatest shows out there. Here are a few of my favorite shots, enjoy!
